212pp., unpaginated b/white halftone plates (mostly), including frontispiece (all called-for plates extant and attached). Book clean and square. Bright gilt title over lightly bumped spine. Plain green boards nominally bumped on lower foredge corner, else undamaged. A small splash-stain on one leaf, else textblock unmarked. Colour, pictorially-illustrated, loose-plastic protected dustjacket price-clipped, edgeworn, and scuffed. As told to Frank O'Callaghan, this is the story of Australian Test Cricket wicket-keeper "Wally" Grout (b. 20 March, 1927). This book was published in the year before he retired. In his stellar career Wally Grout played in 51 tests between 1957 and 1966. Tragically he died in November, 1968, at just 41 years of age . . . Contents include: Prelims., Foreword: Sir Donald Bradman, 20 interesting chapters. Book weight approx. 450g.
