Illustrated (colour-art front, and duotone photographic author portrait rear), loose-plastic protected dustjacket slightly edgeworn, and pressure marked on front panel. The manuscript for this book was found in its original form by Dr. Stuart MacDonald (the author's son) among her personal papers and other effects after her death in 1942. Broken into 14 short stories, again set on the 'Island' (Canada's Prince Edward Island), in the immediate pre-World War Two period, with Anne now Mrs Blythe, married with grown-up children.
