iv, + 97pp., intext b/white halftone plate illustrations throughout. Book clean and square. Spine firm. Illustrated gloss card wrapper lightly bumped and splayed, else very good. A personal inscription, signed and dated by author on title page, else textblock unmarked. The author was born and raised in the Quilpie district of south-west Queensland. He left home at age fourteen, working on various properties in the area. In 1946 he moved to the remote Kimberley district of Western Australia, working as a stockman, laterbecoming a boss-drover and horse-breaker. He eventually returned to the Quilpie district as an overseer, later moving on to his own cattle property in the Goondawindi district . . . This is his story. Contents include: Prelims., 14 chapters.
