85pp., several colour, mostly b/white, photographic illustrations throughout, plus one line-drawn (parts of an orchid flower). Book clean, square. Spine firm, silver title there-on. Plain green boards, with silver title to front panel, undamaged. Previous owner's details and date, plus small 3 character notation to ffep., otherwise leaves clean. Illustrated, loose-plastic protected dustjacket is price-clipped, mildly edgeworn at head and along spine, several small marks, plus faint foxing to reverse. Volume One of Miss Christine Gray's 'Victorian Native Orchids' succeeds "in portraying (either by colour or half-tone) 71 species of the state's Orchidaceae, including the bulk of the frequent and conspicuous kinds.
