xii, + 196pp., unpaginated, b/white halftone plate illustrated section (mostly happy-snaps). Book clean. Spine firm, but slightly cocked. Boards shelfworn, mostly on foot. Small, original supplier's sticker affixed to front pastedown. Signed and dated (Nov. '77) by author on title page, plus a light margin stain on one leaf. Illustrated, loose-plastic protected dustjacket minimally edgeworn only. From a combination of her memories, and her mother's letters, Adelaide Lubbock, born 1906, the daughter of Sir Arthur Stanley, Governor of Victoria, Australia 1914-1919, has produced the recollections of an interesting, somewhat privileged, and diverse life. Contents, in 'parts', include: Prelims., 1905-1913, 1914-18, 1919-26, Biblio., Family Tree, Index. Mary Kathleen Adelaide Lubbock (nee Stanley) died in 1981. Book weight approx. 650g.
